Show casing our youngest stars at the Ryan YMCA preschool. We have Astronauts, intergalactic stars, shooting stars, boats sailing the seven seas, a one eyed galactic octopus, a glowing jellyfish & more.

The Cabrillo Nation is a local group of kids and their dads who regularly camp and volunteer together. They enjoy adventuring and enriching our community together, all while bonding as families and friends. You’ll see everyone wearing vests featuring patches that commemorate each camping trip and adventure, as well as necklaces full of charms that the kids earn by helping each other, helping the environment, winning skit competitions, and showing off their camping knowledge. 

Scouts BSA Troop 555 is lighting up Ocean Beach with their Galactic Beach Campout! Their float features a glowing beach campsite set under shimmering stars and swirling galaxies—complete with palm trees, surfboards, and a rocket-fueled campfire. Scouts dressed as intergalactic adventurers and space surfers dance alongside the float, rocking out to upbeat surf tunes with a cosmic twist. With lights, bubbles, and natural glactic beach vibes, Troop 555 is ready to prove that even in outer space, the best adventures happen around the campfire—OB style! 

Sacred Heart Academy Preschool has been a part of the Ocean Beach Community for over 50 years.  We offer a play-based learning program for children ages 2 to 5 and enroll year-round.  Please contact us at 619-222-7252 or shaobpreschool2@gmail.com for additional information about the preschool and how to enroll. 

The Lighthouse Ice Cream float shines bright, guiding everyone through the parade and back to the sweetest spot in town for the last 28 years - The Lighthouse Ice Cream shop! A truck covered in twinkling lights carries a glowing lighthouse, symbolizing warmth, joy and the promise of a delicious treat. Festive decorations and holiday garlands make the float a true holiday delight. Following behind are smiling families and kids, spreading cheer and inviting everyone to stop by for a scoop (or two) after the parade. It's a shining reminder that all roads lead to ice cream and holiday happiness! 

Silver Gate Elementary Unicycle Club (Grades 3–4)
These dedicated riders bring holiday spirit and serious balance to the OB Holiday Parade. Their club celebrates perseverance, kindness, and community while building confidence, coordination, and teamwork—one wheel at a time. Rolling into OB with balance, grit, and huge smiles, they prove that big things happen on just one wheel! 

The Ocean Beach Friends of the Library invite you to our library- to read a book that will take your imagination to the beach and beyond to planets, galaxies, stars and more.

Team Hoyt San Diego is a non-profit that assists families in inclusion in sports, running races, and triathlons. The Hoyt Foundation aspires to build the individual character, self-confidence and self-esteem of America’s disabled young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life; including in family and community activities, especially sports, at home, in schools, and in the workplace. Team Hoyt San Diego works to partner with local organizations to show support for its cause through donations as well as to provide assistance at races and events. 

Our group consists of several of the iconic woodie station wagons used by surfers in the early days of surfing.  Back then they were a cheap form of transportation which could carry their surfboards, and also be a place to sleep after a surf session.  Plentiful for many years, now they are very rare, and many of these vehicles are one of a kind. 

The vision for Barnard Mandarin Magnet Elementary School is to develop bilingual and biliterate students who meet high academic standards and are models for positive cross-cultural attitudes and behavior. Working together with a highly-engaged community of students, staff, and families, Barnard creates lifelong learners who possess an expanded worldview and are prepared to be successful, caring citizens in a global society. 

Submerge Church has been in OB for two years now and meets every Sunday Morning on Newport Avenue. 

They're truly committed to the community, serving weekly with local schools, businesses, community organizations & more.

Amanda's Adaptive Martial Arts is a nonprofit organization that teaches martial arts classes for people with special needs.

Miss Teen Volunteer San Diego County Juliette Paden. Juliette uses her platform to support Dancers Against Cancer, the Princess Project, and her own initiative All Pets All Loved raising awareness and funds for animal rescues. She hopes all animals and their families have a wonderful holiday!

This is Setting Sun Dojo. This dojo has been a part of the OB community for over 30 years. Setting Sun Dojo teaches a mix of Karate, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu to both kids and adults. They invite you to come try out the dojo for a FREE 2 WEEKS!  OBDOJO.COM

Loma Portal Elementary is proud to make a splash in the OB Holiday Parade! Sponsored by the Loma Portal Foundation, our float features our mascot Bubbles the Dolphin cruising with our festively lit golf carts. With bubbles flowing and our school staff and families walking alongside, we’re excited to bring joyful dolphin energy and Loma Portal pride to the parade route.

The Whittemore family and friends are back for their 6th year. Bringing the OB surf culture with a giant wave and Santa's SEA Sleigh pulled by dolphins. Whittemore friends and family gather each year to be part of this great event. 

We are Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do!  A family friendly martial arts class right here in OB celebrating our 50th year!  We focus on fitness, self-confidence and self-defense with a kids class and a class for teens and adults.  Come see us at the Ocean Beach Rec Center Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-7pm.  

Le Fart started in 2020 when a group of boys from Loma Portal Elementary, ages 7 to 10, began jamming during the pandemic. Since then, they’ve played school fundraisers, variety shows, and backyard parties. They have become beloved in the neighborhood. They chose the name because it sounded fancy and made them laugh. What began as friends making noise has grown into a band that brings energy and fun wherever they play. 

Ocean Beach Speech is a pediatric speech therapy clinic located right here in OB! Their speech therapists provide services for children of all ages in their office on Santa Monica, as well as in homes and in some nearby preschools and private schools. Specializing in early intervention, reading skills, speech development, and more, OB Speech is proud to support the children of our community in becoming great communicators.

Cruising in classic style, the Legacy Estate Planners team will be riding in their signature woody golf cart- a nod to timeless craftsmanship and the power of legacy. Our crew celebrates family, tradition, and the joy of planning for the future. Wave hello as we roll by in our charming cart, blending old-school elegance with modern estate planning expertise.

HGW Architecture joins the parade this year alongside the beloved Alley Monsters from Mars. From coast to cosmos the Alley Monsters will soar through the sky in an illuminated space craft. This float isn’t just a luminous voyage, it’s an invitation to OBecians to dream big and imagine spaces that welcome diverse communities across galaxies. 

Val’s Coffee Corner – Ocean Beach, San Diego
Serving the Ocean Beach community since 2006, Val’s Coffee Corner is all about good vibes, Brazilian flavors, and local love. Val, a Brazilian immigrant who arrived in OB in 2001 with one dream, fell in love with this town and planted her roots here—building both a family and a beloved coffee shop family. Everything we make is crafted with love, from our authentic Brazilian açaí bowls and fresh smoothies to our gourmet coffee brewed with heart.

The Friendly Sons Of Saint Patrick the oldest Irish group in America started in Philadelphia in 1771.

Representing the spirit and cheer of our community it is the Point Loma High School Cheerleading Squad. An incredibly hard working dedicated group of kids who participate in their team year round cheering on PLHS sports, attending community events, and spreading that Pointer Pride!

Miss Donnelly's Daily Apple is an amazing group of homeschool kiddos and their families (& our two class pet pups!) We're a small microschool program that's focused on individualized, intentionally-designed learning and putting the "home" in homeschool. We also host monthly book readings at OB Beans called "Pit & Children's Lit" featuring our class pet Pitbull, Styles!

Peninsula Youth Softball Association (PYSA): Celebrating 60 Years of Softball by the Sea!

The PYSA is proudly celebrating 60 years of empowering young girls through fastpitch softball in beautiful Ocean Beach, California. As a nonprofit, "B" level USA Softball league, we provide year-round programs for all skill levels at Robb Field Recreational Center. We offer Spring and Fall recreational leagues to highly competitive All-Star and Select teams who just achieved record-breaking success this summer. Cub Scouts live in a world of “firsts” — first home run, first campfire, first checkered flag — where their game plan is their imagination. Their most valuable reward is the friends they make for life and a parent’s proud smile.

These are invaluable experiences that can be had in Scouting. These are life lessons that eventually transform boys and girls in Cub Scouting, through advancement, into members of Scouts BSA, Eagle Scouts, and successful adults.

 The Point Loma High School Vanguard and Color Guard has a long history of proudly performing in the OB Holiday Parade, having marched in every parade since the second year! The PLHS Instrumental Music Program serves over 100 students in 5 classes: string orchestra, concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, and color guard. This fall season, Vanguard attending 5 marching band competitions at Bonita Vista, Mira Mesa, Chula Vista, Westview, and Rancho Buena Vista High Schools competing in the 3A division with their 2025 production, Bermuda Triangle. The Point Loma Vanguard is the pride of PLHS and brings the heat to every home football game and pep rally. Vanguard is under the direction of Ms. Sierra Johnson. A huge thank you to our PLHS Music Boosters - PA for all their hard work in making this year a success!

Bluebird Play’s Holiday Adventure Among the Stars
Bluebird Play invites you into a storybook world where The Little Prince has crash-landed for a Galactic Holiday Beach Bash! A glowing airplane, shimmering moon, and sparkling stars set the scene for a night of wonder and imagination. With beachy touches, twinkle lights, and a hint of holiday magic, this float celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the joy of exploring new worlds together. 

The scene at Northside is intergalactic and fantastic! Uranus will never be the same after Northside Taverns invasion. Our crew blasted off with a ship full of beer and all the good times from Ocean Beach to share with your favorite planets and the entire galaxy. One head? Two heads? Twelve Heads?!! All heads are welcome at NST. We don’t judge — we serve.  So after the parade, beam yourself down to Northside Tavern. Grab a drink and see if you can tell the difference between the humans and the space monsters. We can’t even tell some days.

Friends of Dana and Correia is a nonprofit  that supports Dana and Correia middle schools. Your kids might not want you around in middle school - but we do! Join FODAC. (Pronounced Fo-dack)

 Peninsula Surf Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit after school surf program. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for all students, and to provide an outdoor after-school activity to keep our kids engaged in healthy choices outside of school. We develop and foster a deep sense of team work, self-confidence, worth, achievement, leadership, community, friendship, and a never ending love for our ocean and environment. 

Gretta's Dog Training and The Bully Breed Bunch bring a lively pack of costumed walkers, happy pet owners, and adorable adoptable pups to this year's parade! You will spot people dressed as dogs, trainers showcasing small synchronized performances, and community members proudly walking their real-life canine partners. Our float celebrates connection, compassion, and the joy of learning together - whether you are two-legged or four-legged. We are here to spread holiday cheer, wagging tails, and big community spirit!

The San Diego Wooden Dinghy Lover's Association's (SDWDLA) "Sailing Through a Sea of Bubbles" celebrates the expanding dream and infinite possibility of a bubble floating in the air. 

San Diego Gymnastics and Parkour offers the best fun and fitness programs for kids of all ages at convenient locations, providing flexibility for busy families and kids across San Diego County. 

Blasting off from Ocean Beach, The Artist Outpost brings creativity to the cosmos! This local art and pottery studio offers weekly classes, one-night workshops, camps, and parties for artists of all ages. The Outpost celebrates imagination, community, and connection — creating an inclusive space where creativity shines brighter than the stars in this Galactic Holiday Beach Bash! 

The float shines with a mix of retro empowerment and cosmic fun! Girl Scouts will dress as Rosie the Riveter — with an alien twist — wearing sparkly bandanas, silver accessories, and green face paint to show that girls everywhere (and beyond!) can do anything. A glowing spaceship serves as the centerpiece, surrounded by tinsel “waves” and neon palm trees for a fun beach-meets-galaxy vibe.

The scene blends a seaside celebration with interstellar adventure — a Galactic Holiday Beach Bash where strong, creative “Rosies” build the future among the stars. A banner reads: “Girl Scouts: Out of This World and Ready to Shine!”

Back again this year with groovy vibes and flashing lights, the OB Hardware float celebrates 105 years serving Ocean Beach! Get ready to boogie as they join forces with the Parrot Pandemonium to spread all the hippie hoedown cheer.

Your friends at OMBAC are back, bringing the Spirit of the Beach to the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade! The Old Mission Beach Athletic Club proudly keeps San Diego’s beach traditions alive with events like the Over-the-Line BeerFest Tournament in May and the legendary Over-the-Line World Championships returning for two weekends in July 2026. With sand in their shoes and plenty of OB spirit, OMBAC reminds everyone that “we never have any fun!” See you on the sand!

Couch Surfers” by Call Glenn Again Handyman and Home Services are two separate motorized and drivable sofas.  Together we can do anything . . . Without ever leaving the couch. 

Here comes Peach Cooler, OB's own indie surf rock band taking their annual orbit around OB. Peach Cooler is on a cosmic mission to bring rhythm to the OB galaxy. Here to promote their upcoming show at Music Box on January 8th, Peach Cooler wants to make sure you hold some SPACE to to float away into he peachy grooves that be. Houston, we have a PEACH. 

Straight out of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Skellington is crashing Christmas in Ocean Beach, and he brought some Sunset View Elementary kids with him. Jack’s in his Sandy Claws getup trying his best to “do Christmas right,” while Oogie Boogie pops out to remind everyone that a little chaos is part of the fun. The Halloween Town residents carrying spooky-cute Christmas presents that may or may not bite back. It all lands as a weird, fun mashup of Halloween, Christmas, and OB, which feels like something Jack would dream up. 

The Ocean Beach Woman’s Club is bringing our beachside energy to the streets, honoring more than a century of service and sisterhood! Our members will be walking together with festive flair, plenty of community pride, and just enough sass to make the crowd smile. For over 100 years, we’ve been empowering women, supporting local causes, and keeping Ocean Beach connected. Cheer us on as we celebrate more than a century of doing good, having fun, and proving that OB knows how to walk the walk!

Make some noise for your hometown hockey team - The San Diego Gulls! Proud to represent America's Finest City, the Gulls are the official AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks and have been bringing thrilling action and community pride to the ice since 2015. Joining the fun is fans-favorite mascot Sandy along with flight crew and street team, spreading the excitement of Gulls Hockey. And give a big cheer for the Colony, the official booster club of the San Diego Gulls, keeping the passion for hockey strong in our community. Let's hear it for the San Diego Gulls!

Cheer San Diego Extreme was formed in 2016 as an athletic and performing cheerleading team. As a volunteer-based organization, we use our athletic cheerleading and dance abilities to raise funds for those living with life-threatening illnesses. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community through our love of cheerleading.

Break out your black eyeliner and studded belts!  Its time to deck the halls with our emotions this holiday season and join the black parade.  Crank up those early 2000's bangers to drown out Grandma's judgement as we scream till our lungs give out.  We're here to be loud, proud, and wear our hearts on our sleeve because this holiday season its okay if you're "Not Okay." 

The group is dedicated to "fandom with purpose" and partners with local and national charities, such as the Starlight Children's Foundation and the California Fire Foundation, to raise funds and awareness. They often appear at events to support these causes, including the "Ghostbusters Give Back" initiative with Sony Pictures. 

Pet Mammoth is a local grunge band! Big and fuzzy, their sound was molded by the streets of Ocean Beach. They actually resurrected a frozen woolly mammoth and keep it as a pet, but he was sick today so instead they are riding in this trailer. 

jeepHers San Diego is a safe place for women to get together, have confidence and feel comfortable with their jeep without feeling intimidated. WE help you along the way no matter your level of Jeep knowledge or the size of your jeep. We are non profit social club with no fees and no dues: just all time fun! WE have meetups, hit the trails, give advice and hangout! We are always family friendly and furbaby friendly. 

Play Studios – Where Hard Work Meets Holiday Spirit!
Get ready to jingle all the way with Play Studios, San Diego’s premier adult dance studio! Our dancers are sleighing the parade route in our signature Santa dresses and festive holiday looks — spreading smiles, sparkle, and maybe a few sore muscles along the way. We’ve trained, stretched, and danced a full mile (yes, a mile!) just to bring you the holiday cheer you deserve. Watch out for high kicks, good vibes, and plenty of sass — because at Play Studios, we work hard, play harder, and we’re here to make your season bright! 

A 1960 era Jeep and Volkswagon THING will transport Armada Space Invaders down the galaxy of Newport Ave., beaming neighborly cheer across the point. 

Portuguese Community of San Diego & Portugal Soccer fan club is a group of Portuguese San Diego natives mostly from PL and OB that pride themselves in keeping Portuguese traditions alive in SD. The group hosts social events throughout the year to engage with the community and represent their Portuguese pride through traditions and heritage. The group also founded one of the largest Portugal soccer fan clubs here in San Diego and and their watch parties are held at The Harp here in Ocean Beach. Favorite Words from the group that you will hear around is "FORCA PORTUGAL" which means Lets GO PORTUGAL!!!!! 

We are Coastal Drift Collective. San Diego’s one-of-a-kind VW bus mobile bar and photo booth looking to take holiday spirit to another galaxy.  Our restored vintage bus transforms into a glowing starship of celebration, with the roof open to reveal a cosmic light show of lasers, fog, and swirling galaxy projections. We’ll be cruising to a soundtrack that drifts between the X-Files lo-fi Christmas beats and some B-52's and David Bowie mixed in, blending mystery and merriment. Friends and families walk alongside dressed as cosmic elves and mini space explorers, their strollers and wagons lit up like UFOs. 

Season Greetings from President Bill Klees and the rest of the San Diego Peninsula Lions tribe serving the Point Loma and Ocean Beach area since 1946.  The Lions Motto is We Serve and also are referred by Helen Keller as Knights of the Blind.

Kustom Kulture-One of OB's favorite new watering holes.  Come as you are-There are no strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet.  

We joined the OB Christmas Parade because it's a hell of a good time and we wanted to be part of our favorite local community.  Our float is Kustom Kulture - Area 1502, A highly classified area known for a hell of a good time, located within the Newport Galaxy of Planet OB, currently celebrating the holidays with a galactic beach bash.

Our float is a fun antique Volkswagon Transporter operated under the watch of our oversized inflatable mascot, Frenchie Josephine!
Sunset Cliffs Animal Hospital is a woman-owned small animal clinic and proud member of the LGBTQ community serving San Diego for over 20 years. At Sunset Cliffs Animal Hospital, we care for all furbabies like they're our own. 

Forget reindeer — this year, Santa’s powered by Pride! The Pride Surf & Skate crew brings OB’s street style to the season with a 24-foot RV wrapped in lights, sneakers, and skateboards. Follow along as Santa and his crew “Sleigh the Streets” with holiday cheer on four wheels!  Colorfu kicks and a skate crew will provide holiday spirit rides on wheels!

“Santa’s Galactic Holiday: Beauty School Drop-In”

Get ready for a retro rocket ride through the cosmos as Details Salon & Spa and the Golf Carts of OB launches its holiday float with a glam-tastic twist! Inspired by the iconic “Beauty School Dropout” number from Grease, this golf cart sleigh is decked out in shimmering chrome, pastel pinks, and interstellar sparkle.

Santa’s sleigh has traded reindeer for rollers—literally. The cart features glowing hair dryers as thrusters, glittery shampoo bottles orbiting like planets, and a cosmic mirror ball spinning overhead. A silver-haired Santa rocks a salon smock and space boots, while his crew of “beauty school drop-ins” flaunt vintage curlers, cat-eye glasses, and galactic glam.

The PLHS Boys/Girls Soccer teams consist of a mix of both Varsity and Junior Varsity players from 9th-12th grades. They’ve just started the 2025/26 season of play and would love to have everyone support high school games and come cheer  in the stands for tour Fighting Pointers. We wish everyone a Happy OB Holiday Season! 

Mandy Havlik and her supporters are marching for change in San Diego’s District 2! Our float features a campaign car surrounded by neighbors and volunteers walking proudly with a banner in support of her. Mandy’s campaign is about putting people before politics, fighting for safer streets, responsible development, cleaner beaches, and transparent, accountable leadership at City Hall. Team Mandy represents the spirit of unity and grassroots action that’s driving a new era of local leadership. Surfrider Foundation Aliens have crash landed onto a dystopian polluted Earth! They have created a powerful activist network to fish and pick up all trash to make the ocean, waves, beaches and planet cleaner! 

Low Tide Golf is a beach golf game born in Ocean Beach, California. Bringing golf to the beach, and Christmas vibes to Newport avenue! 

Go-Go is a 1955 Tugboat...rescued from the desert of yucaipa... Not running and sitting around for fifteen years. By her new Owner/Captain..former Fire Apparatus/Engineer/Paramedic..Patrick Nicolai...took one full year to get the diesel motor running and all the electronics figured out all the wires and cables were cut and they're paint and body was in horrible condition, brought back to life by a local OB blue collar waterman/boatswain.... On board tonight is his daughter Piper. One of his best friends, amy and piper's high school friends from LA Costa Canyon H.S!!!!

 OB Galactic Golfcarters are a collection of neighbors, friends, and families who love OB and love to cruise around in their carts whether to the beach, to school. to work, or shopping in our amazing community where we're all so lucky to live!

Thank you for your patience when you end up on the road behind us. We are sometimes slow, but we are very happy not ever being in a rush! Just chill and enjoy OB! 

The Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band of San Diego,  founded in 1946,  is California's oldest pipe band.   Our band is led today by Pipe Major Charlie Rosenburger and Pipe Sargent Suzie Shoemaker.   The Camerons wish you happy holidays in memory of Steve McCannon of Ocean Beach.

United States, Established here in San Diego in 1890. Helping the
community, promoting Patriotism, Drug Awareness, and Veterans

Apt 4 Music’s float is a star-studded holiday jam! Students, instructors, and volunteers unite for a live performance of pop favorites re-imagined with space-age sparkle and festive flair. Expect glowing lights, cosmic surf style, and an all-ages crew celebrating how music connects every corner of our community. Apt 4 Music is a nonprofit bringing lessons, events, and school programs that Inspire, Educate, Empower, and Lead from the beaches to the stars!

This group of students jam at Apt 4 Music every week, and have started playing gigs all over town. They started their band in June of this year, and are excited to show you what they've learned so far! 

The Point Loma Optimists are proud to show off their all-electric customized flag truck.  You may have seen us at work every Sunday and on special holidays as Optimist volunteers deploy over 150 American flags along Rosecrans Street.  The Optimist Club is 70 members strong and are proud to be continued supporters of our local youth groups , schools and organizations. 

Sun Home Saunas is turning up the holiday heat with their “Sun Home Cosmic Cruise” float, a playful nod to Ocean Beach’s laid-back surf culture and this year’s Galactic Holiday Beach Bash theme. Their decorated vehicle shines with twinkling lights, cosmic details, and a splash of beachy charm. Leading the way is Ocean Beach’s own local legend from “Reindeer Beach,” guiding the squad through a galaxy of good vibes. Sun Home Saunas brings luxury wellness to everyday life with beautifully crafted home saunas designed for modern living. This float is a celebration of warmth, community, and holiday spirit—OB style. 

The Cool Bus is the creation of the Burke family, who purchased a Thomas E350 school bus 7 years ago and has been working on its evolution ever since.  For the parade this year, we'll be taking the Cool Bus to its farthest destination yet, outer space. 

Blowfish Tequila rolls in with a cosmic twist this year, featuring their signature branded van transformed into an out-of-this-world party craft. Blowfish spikes crown the roof, while friendly aliens pop out from the sides and back, ready to greet the crowd with intergalactic cheer. Surrounding the van, a high-energy crew of 15–20 join to keep the celebration moving, bringing that San Diego coastal spirit to every step. 

A colorful Taco Tour bus surrounded by taco enthusiasts from across the galaxy. Take a ride on the Taco Tour San Diego unidentified driving object (UDO) for an unforgettable culinary and visual exploration.

Barona Speedway racecars and drivers from San Diego's only semi banked 1/4 mile clay oval track.  Located 5.8 miles north of Barona Casino on Wildcat Canyon Rd. In Lakeside,  CA 

Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club welcomes visitors from across the galaxy with Aloha from Starship Kai Elua!

Our rocket-ship canoe has landed in Ocean Beach, where little green paddlers and Earthlings unite to share the universal language of aloha. Surrounded by glowing palm trees, tropical lights, and alien beachgoers in aloha shirts, this cosmic crew proves that no matter what planet you call home, everyone’s invited to paddle together in the spirit of friendship, fun, and ohana.

We’re a local crew of proud Obecians who love bringing stories to life through community LARPing (Live Action Role Play) every 4th of July. Last summer, we followed the legendary Rum Runners—pirates sailing the OB seas in search of adventure and fun!

This holiday season, our crew has gone intergalactic! Join us as we take the Rum Runners to the stars for a Galactic Holiday Beach Bash—a cosmic twist on our pirate theme. Expect glowing lights, playful space-pirates, surfboards turned starships, and a ship full of laughter as we bring festive cheer from the beach to the galaxy beyond!

Bringing the bold, the playful, and the barely-there holiday cheer, Almost Nakey Santa Con turns up the heat on Newport Ave! Known for their hilarious, spirited, and… let’s say “lightly dressed” Santa-themed shenanigans, this group is all about joy, laughter, and full-on festive freedom. Give them a big OB welcome — and maybe a warm blanket!

SQUAAAWK!! ... WE'RE BAAACK!! Do you hear that sound? It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's the beloved OB Parrots! Did you know a group of parrots is called a Pandemonium? That's right! The OB Parrot Pandemonium, consisting of a group of OB neighbors and friends, want to wish everyone a totally far-out holiday season! SQUAAAWK!!

OB Drum Circle is a collective group of musicians from within and around Ocean Beach. We have freely assembled at the end of Newport Ave every Wednesday during the Farmers's market for many years. Our purpose is to collectively raise the vibrational energy of our community to promote healing and to create a safe space for those needing to heal, meditate, dance or release negative energies and to provide a sense of community through drumming, music and dance. 

Peace, Love & V-Dubs is bringing some groovy holiday cheer to the parade! Our colorful convoy of classic Volkswagens is decked out with twinkling lights, tinsel, and timeless style. Fueled by peace, powered by love, and cooled by air, our crew is spreading festive vibes wherever we roll. Expect plenty of smiles and honks as our Dubs cruise through spreading holiday happiness, the VW way!

Ocean Beach's longest running musical residency (34 years of Monday nights at Winstons) and this year, as members of the San Diego Music Hall of Fame, Electric Waste Band, is back to celebrate our great community in the inimitable O.B. Holiday Parade. From having Bill Walton in the band for nearly a decade, sharing the stage with the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir, to having the great Karl Strauss Brewing Company honor us with Electric Waste Beer, we count ourselves as one of the luckiest band's around.  This year we're seeking to trim down the size of float so we can be more accessible to friends and fans dancing along side on the parade route.

Our “Jingle Jangle Galaxy Gang” float brings cowboys, aliens, and holiday cheer together for a cosmic Wild West celebration. A decorated truck sets the scene while our crew of space cowgirls, cowboys, and festive extraterrestrials walk alongside spreading interstellar joy. It’s a playful mashup of UFOs, lassos, and Christmas sparkle.

Swami’s float is a beautiful decorated float, adorned with traditional Indian painting and fresh flowers. With the float you will find a happy, bright group of people from all walks of life singing.

The Ocean Beach Lifeguards, part of the San Diego Lifeguard Service, have been protecting our coastal community since the early 1900s, covering the shoreline from Point Loma to Black’s Beach. This year, they’ll be showcasing their essential vehicles, including a lifeguard truck pulling a rescue boat and the iconic Rescue 44 cliff vehicle. Don’t miss the Ocean Beach Lifeguards as they escort Santa and Mrs. Claus down Newport Avenue, spreading holiday cheer to all!

Fire Station 15 was originally opened in 1915 at 4926 Newport Ave. It was relocated to its current location in August 1949.

Fire Station 15 serves Ocean Beach and its surrounding areas. Engine 15's district is 2.32 square miles.

The fire engine is a pumper which usually carries 500 gallons of water, hose, pump and 48 feet of ground ladders. The primary task of a fire engine crew is: search and rescue, locate, confine and extinguish fire and, when warranted, respond to 9-1-1 medical incidents.
