LTN was proud to sponsor a free screening of A Case for Love, a thought-provoking documentary that explored how love can be a solution to many societal challenges.
After the film, attendees engaged in a lively panel discussion, reflecting on love’s potential to bridge divides. The event was family-friendly, with light snacks provided - thank you Dirty Birds & Pizzeria Luigi - and some guests left with one of our exclusive LTN t-shirts.
It was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful conversations and community connections!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of Reef the Whale at the DesBorder: Together for a Cleaner Environment debut cleanup on August 3rd!
We were thrilled to be alongside over 70 attendees throughout the morning, with community members generously donating CRV aluminum cans and plastic bottles. Thanks to all the contributions, DesBorder redeemed $197 and collected 75 pounds of recyclables!
Stay tuned as we continue to share more from this exciting debut and our ongoing efforts to keep our environment clean!
Our first Neighborhood Nexus on August 1st at Ocean Beach Elementary was a huge success! We had a great turnout, engaging discussions, and shared the latest school updates.
Our incredible community partners, Skyhawks Sports Academy and DesBorder: Together for a Cleaner Environment, also provided valuable insights.
A special thanks to Dirty Birds Ocean Beach, BBQ House OB, and Pizzeria Luigi for donating the delicious food.
We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to show their support and love for our neighborhood!
On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the Ocean Beach community came together to honor the beloved David Hendon, after raising $8,000 to support him, Marc & Pico.
We started with a beach cleanup at Veterans Plaza, followed by a heartfelt toast at our generous hosts, California Wild Ales.
Volunteers of all ages cleaned the shoreline, reflecting David's passion for environmental conservation, and later shared stories, laughter, and tears, celebrating his lasting impact.
The event was a beautiful tribute, showcasing the deep sense of community and love that David fostered, ensuring his legacy will continue to inspire and bring people together.
Thank you for keeping OB clean and keeping David's spirit alive!
On Saturday, June 22, on the MainStage at the Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair hosted an exciting event – the Dirty Birds OB Wing Eating Contest.
Nate Freischlag competed fiercely, and the community came out in full force to cheer him on. Generous donations from supporters contributed significantly to the OB Clean & Safe Program.
This fantastic initiative continues to keep our beloved Ocean Beach clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone.
The event was a resounding success, showcasing the community's spirit and dedication to making a positive impact.
Every contribution made a difference!
Thank you for supporting a cleaner, safer OB!
