Anchored in Freedom is a community-wide Independence Day celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday and the U.S. Navy’s deep-rooted history at Liberty Station.
Set on the historic grounds of the former Naval Training Center, this event brings together neighbors, families, and visitors for a meaningful and festive afternoon featuring a patriotic parade and lively festival. It’s a celebration of freedom, service, and community—rooted in history and brought to life through shared tradition.

The Anchored in Freedom Parade starts at 1:00 pm sharp and travels a scenic half-mile through Liberty Station, beginning at the Float Staging Area and moving along the waterfront to the Parade End near Ingram Plaza. It’s a straight, easy-to-follow route designed for great visibility and high energy from start to finish.
The celebration doesn’t stop when the parade ends—head straight into Ingram Plaza for our Anchored in Freedom Festival from
2:00–5:00 pm. Enjoy live music from Navy Band Southwest, a wing-eating contest, costume contest, kids activities, and more in a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.
Floats are encouraged to stick around after the parade, with optional priority parking near the festival so attendees can admire them up close and keep the energy going.

Every float, booth, and entry helps bring the Anchored in Freedom Parade & Festival to life—so when you participate, you’re also supporting the event.
For businesses, it’s a great opportunity to get in front of the community. You can join the parade with a float for $300, set up a vendor booth at the festival for $300, or do both for $500 and maximize your exposure throughout the day.
Nonprofits and community groups receive discounted rates, with options starting at $150.
For those looking for even more visibility, our $1,500 sponsor package includes a float, premium booth placement, multiple promotions, and on-stage recognition!

Our all-in-one application walks you through everything step-by-step—so while it’s a bit detailed, it’s designed to answer most of your questions along the way. Payment is completed at the end.
